    • STAR GUITAR gets 2 EXCITING WINNERS despite the wintery weather

      1 - 3-year-old filly SHAMROCK STAR got off the mark with consecutive victories before a stakes placing in the Cajun Miss S. at Evangeline Downs this spring. She returned  this fall with a 2nd in allowance company.  Going off the favorite over a sloppy track at the Fair Grounds, she went straight to the lead while dueling with a rival, drew clear at the quarter pole and was 3 1/2 lengths to the good at the wire.  She is owned by Carl R. Moore Management LLC, trained by W. Bret Calhoun and was bred by Half Moon Stables, LLC (LA).

      2- 2-year-old colt PICKNNGRINN pressed the pace from inside and then drew off to an easy 5 length lead at the wire in his second start. He raced in  MSW going 6 furlongs at Remington Park. The colt is owned by  Asmussenequine.com and Gerald Rich. He was bred byJacquelyn J. Rich DVM & Gerald Rich  and is trained by Steven M. Asmussen. Keep an eye on this one!

    • 2 yo old DOUBLE STAR by STAR GUITAR wins his 2nd

      2-year-old DOUBLE STAR won his first start with dispatch. He sprinted to the lead from his outside post and was never seriously asked galloping home a 1 3/4-length victor. He has hit the board twice in his first allowance condition and today stalked the pace and cleared to gain his second win. The bay  colt is owned by Four Star Racing, bred by Thomas Edward Vinci & Bill Mayfield (LA) and trained by Robert D. Schultz. He has earned over $46,000.

      Three winners for STAR GUITAR at opening day at the Fair Grounds and all three homebreds for Brittlyn Stables Inc!   3-year-old filly DATA GIRL won in allowance company going a mile and added her third win. Two 2-year-olds added to the fun with first out wins. DIVINE BEAN sprinted to a 2 1/4 length win in a 5/1/2 furlong race for 2-year-old colts and in the filly division, MINIT TO STARDOM won by over 5 lengths. Both went off as the favorite.

    • Exciting day for Clear Creek Stud

      Brittlyn homebred TESTING ONE TWO  by STAR GUITAR won the  $150,000 Louisiana Jewel Stakes for 2-year-old Louisiana-bred fillies on cruise control and following her in the show position was Bionic Butterfly by CUSTOM FOR CARLOS. Bionic Butterfly added black type to her pedigree for owner  Whispering Oaks Farm LLC  and trainer Steve Flint. The filly was bred by Relentless Racing LLC .

    • GIVEMEAMINIT by STAR GUITAR hits the board in the BC Juvenile

      We are proud of GIVEMENAMINIT who came 3 wide and hit the board to be  4th in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile G1. Twelve accomplished colts broke out of the gate and he beat 8 of them!

      STAR TOO has been knocking on the door, in fact, she just missed in her 4 prior starts. She went off the favorite, forced the pace and then took over to win by a length for trainer  Emanuel J. Geralis. The 3-year-old filly is owned by Joseph E. Colgain.

      SW BERMUDA STAR added to her resume running  a tough 2nd in the Elge Rasberry S at Louisina Downs. She was bumped repeatedly as she came from behind and dueled down the stretch. There was an objection but the stewards did not overturn the results of the finish. Recently she won an allowance race, before that she was 3rd in the Louisiana Legends Soiree S  going a mile at Evangeline. And before that she won the Equine Sales Oaks. She has now bankrolled over $117,000 for her connections: owner Brittlyn Stable, Inc,  trainer Victor Arceneaux and breedersTom Curtis & Wayne Simpson.

    • SIMPLY SOLO by STAR GUITAR exciting first out winner

      Brittlyn Stables,Inc homebred three year old filly SIMPLY SOLO was off a step slow but soon put that to rights, exploding to an easy 6 1/2 length win going away. She sprinted 5 furlongs on the turf at Lousiana Downs. SIMPLY SOLO is trained by Ron Faucheux.



    • Stakes placed filly and a good allowance winner for STAR GUITAR

      ANDTHEBEATGOESON won her first out with ease going 5 furlongs at Evangeline Downs. She followed that up today with a very nice second in the Evangeline Downs Princess S to become a new stakes filly for her sire. ANDTHEBEATGOESON is a homebred for Stewart M. Madison and is trained by Albert M. Stall, Jr.

      On the same card, SENOR GUITAR added an allowance win to his resume. He wore down his main foe and won off by 5. The 3 year old gelding is owned and trained by Sturges J Ducoing. He was bred by Clifford Grum.

      TAP DANCE STAR ended up inside and needed to find room outside to come 3 wide and tenacioulsy wear down the leader in the stretch. She got up to win by a neck racing 7 furlongs on the dirt at Evangeline Downs. She is a homebred for the Virginia Lazenby Racing Stable LLC and she is trained by Oscar Modica.

      Star Guitar's son, Aceguitar, now stakes placed in the Texas Thoroughbred Futurity at Lone Star.He loomed three wide in the stretch with a bead on the leader and closed with energy but just missed. He was 6 lengths clear of the horse finishing 3rd.  Aceguitar got his career off to an impressive start with a win first time out at Lone Star Park, he broke fast to set all the pace while being challenged down the backstretch  but when they turned for home he seemed to find another gear to widen his lead with every stride in the stretch to win in a hand ride by nearly nine lengths. He is owned by Danny Pish, Aceguitar was purchased by owner, Scott Brown, at the Texas Thoroughbred Yearling Sale for $20,000 from Inside Move, Agent for breeder Clear Creek Stud, LLC.

    • 2 YO GIVEMEAMINIT by STAR GUITAR ran an amazing 2nd in a MSW at Saratoga

      Coming from out of left field, GIVEMEAMINIT charged up the outside late and almost wore down the winner - who was almost 7 lengths to the good at the top of the stretch. GIVEMEAMINIT was a very impressive second in his first start lifetime in front of a huge weekend crowd at the Spa. After the race it was discovered that he had lost both back shoes at the break. Watch for him next time when he will most likely stretch out. He was bred by Clear Creek Stud and is owned by Valene Farms LLC.

      Star Guitar's son, Aceguitar, got his career off to an impressive start with a win first time out at Lone Star Park on Saturday night.  Aceguitar broke fast to set all the pace while being challenged down the backstretch and throughout the turn but when they turned for home he seemed to find another gear to widen his lead with every stride in the stretch to win in a hand ride by nearly nine lengths. Aceguitar finished the five furlong event in 58.70 as the odds on favorite. Ridden by Ted Gondron for trainer Danny Pish, Aceguitar was purchased by owner, Scott Brown, at the Texas Thoroughbred Yearling Sale for $20,000 from Inside Move, Agent for breeder Clear Creek Stud, LLC.

Last out she was inching closer in the Crescent City Oaks at the Fair Grounds and also came in second. She had stepped up into stakes compay from her MSW and was the first to give her sire black type. Rose Guitar is owned by Royce G. Roberts and was bred by  Oak Leaf Farm TCLP. She ran 6 1/2 furlongs on the dirt at Delta Downs.  AIR GUITAR STAR is trained by  J. R. Caldwell for owners Jason Hall, Gina  Brooks and Dark Horse Racing LLC. She was bred by Larry Romero.

      PHILLY won his first start despite being brushed on both sides just out of the gate, chasing the pace and sweeping wide for the win sprinting 5 1/2 furlongs at the Fair Grounds. He is owned by Wells Foster Warson and Phyllis and William Foster and was bred by Cynthia G. Eyre & Wendell A. Templet. He is trained by Albert M. Stall, Jr.
       

    • PHILLY by STAR GUITAR starts the year off with a BANG
      01/27/2017

      Star Guitar's son, Philly, marked himself as one to watch in his Three-Year-Old season as he opened it with an impressive six furlong race at the Fair Grounds on Sunday.  He broke on top and vied for the lead throughout, hit the rail in the stretch and still won by a comfortable three and three quarters lengths while getting the six furlongs in a shade under 1:10 flat. The Al Stall trainee now has two wins from three starts and a fourth in the Louisiana Champions Day Juvenile, where he had a rough trip. Philly was purchased by Wells Watson at the Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana Annual Yearling Sale from breeders Cynthia Eyre and Wendell Templet and has now earned $56,400.
