      At Evangeline Downs, ARTIC ROSE owned by OM Racing Stable LLC and trained by Oscar Modica  broke her maiden and C`MON VE won her 4th for owner/breeders Earl Hernandez and Keith Hernandez . She is trained by  David Sam B Jr.

      At Louisiana Downs, NUN OF OURS won her 3rd of 5 starts for Patricia M and Kevin B Fontenot and trainer Wilson Shane. Off the favorite, she sprinted 5 furlongs in an off the turf allowance and won by 3 3/4.

    • HALF OURS COLT BRINGS $185,000 at OBS

       Dennis O’Neill paid $185,000 for a colt by Half Ours  at the OBS. The colt had recorded the fastest quarter of a mile of any horse at the sale when he got the distance in 20:1. O’Neill typically buys horses that are trained by his brother, Doug O’Neill, trainer of two Kentucky Derby winners in I’ll Have Another and Nyquist. Consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Inc The colt was bred in Louisiana out of the winning Into Mischief dam, All About Ju Ju, by Summer Hill Equine of Dr. William Andrade. Earlier at Fasg Tipton Timonium a Half Ours colt fetched $90,000.

      Hip No. 383, a son of Half Ours consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Inc., Agent, sped a quarter in :20 1/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the third session of the under tack show for Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2020 July Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age. The bay colt is out of All About Ju Ju, by Into Mischief, a half sister to stakes placed Gregorian Bay.
