BIONIC BUTTERFLY  by CUSTOM FOR CARLOS.added black type to her pedigree running 3rd in the $150,000 Louisiana Jewel Stakes for 2-year-old Louisiana-bred fillies. Today she added more black type this time grabbing the show position in the Elge Rasberry S at a mile on the turf at Louisiana Downs. She is owned by Whispering Oaks Farm LLC  and trained by Steve Flint. The filly was bred by Relentless Racing LLC .

Two-year-old filly MISS PERSISTENT certainly lived up to her name. She figured out what was happening immediately after the gate sprung open and was persistent in edging away for the win sprinting 5 furlongs at Evangeline Downs. She is owned by Clear Creek's Val Murrell and Ted Brandon and id trained by  Sam B. David, Jr. MISS PERSISTENT was bred by Chief One LLC & Clear Creek Stud, LLC.

At the big day of racing at Louisiana Downs, MONTE MAN off the favorite got the job done by a neck in the Louisiana Sprint Stake. The win was the SIXTH in a row for Monte Man and the fourth straight stakes score. Monte Man was bred in Louisiana by Val C. Murrell. He is owned by Ivery Sisters Racing, trained by Ron Faucheux. He has earned $343,055 with the eviable record of 27 9-4-3

Also stakes placed: FROLIC who ran third in the Louisiana Cup Filly And Mare Sprint. The 4-year-old filly is owned by  Bill Langford and Roland Bruno and trained by Roland Bruno. 2 year old filly WHODATWHODAT owned and trained by  Denise Schmidt  ran  3rd in the Louisiana Cup Juvenile Fillies S.  In the colt divisions of the BETO, still a maiden and also placed in the the D S Shine Young Futurity at Evangeline Downs  gained more black-type in the  Louisiana Cup Juvenile S for his owners L. William and Corinne  Heiligbrodt. 

At Evangeline Downs, 2 year old filly CUSTOMS IN DIXIE had no problem winning first out sprinting 5 1/2 furlongs in a MSW for trainer Keith G. Bourgeois and owner Troy Williams. She was bred by  Ray Willie & Steve Holliday. 

5-year-old mare  PEGGYS OUEST  had one start as a three year old and then she was away from the races for almost 2 years.  This April she graduated at Evangeline Downs. Since then she has had a second and now a nice allowance win going 6 1/2 furlongs also at Evangeline Downs where she kicked clear and won by almost 5 lengths. Their patience has panned out for owner Jerome Webb and trainer Ricky Demouchet. . 

NEON SKY has already bankrolled over $53,000 with on the board finishes and today he rang the bell with a wire to wire win at Evangeline Downs racing about 7 1/2 furlongs on the turf. He is owned by Elaine Raby and trained by Jon Ney.

The $50,000 Acadiana Stakes for 3-year-old Louisiana-bred fillies featured a field of eight going seven furlongs. The Al Stall, Jr. trainee, SEASIDE AMOUR by CUSTOM FOR CARLOS  who was the 5-2 betting favorite, prevailed after a stirring stretch drive with Yes Gorgeous to win by a neck in a final time of 1:24.41.
It is the first career stakes victory for Seaside Amour and her third win overall from five starts. The $30,000 first-place purse increases her lifetime earnings to $73,790. She was bred in Louisiana by the owner, Stewart Mather Madison, and ridden to victory by Colby Hernandez.

Third across the wire was the Brittlyn homebred BLUE SUADE GUITAR who let into stakes company after an impressive 7 length maiden win. And on the board in 4th was another homebred, this one for  Virginia Lazenby, TAP DANCE STAR who had garnered a stakes placing in the Louisiana Legends Soiree Stakes earlier this year.

SOUTERN CUSTOM wired the field in an off the turf sprint on a muddy track at Louisiana Downs to break his maiden for owner Robert and Dana Salome and trainer Joe O. Duhon. He won by 3 1/4 lengths.

In his last 3 starts, GONE PECAN was third, second and then a winner. He cleared the field and held for the win sprinting 5 furlongs t Evangeline Downs. He is trained by Dane Noel and owned by Noel's Racing Stable.
 

LUCKY BAND sprinted to  a win at Evangeline Downs for owner Linda Sternberger and trainer  Howard Alonzo. It was the 4 year old filly's second win. At Louisiana Downs, SIR WEDGEANOLA broke his maiden in his 3rd start -  also sprinting. He is owned by Phyllis J Hodges  and is trained by James Hodges,

BORN AGAIN GEORGE had to fight and duel throughout the 5-furlong sprint at Evangeline Downs but he got to the winner's circle in front and broke his maiden in a MSW, He is a homebred for  Keith Hernandez, Earl Hernandez & John Duvieilh​ and is trained by Sam B. David, Jr.
 

CHARZEE BABY broke her maiden at the Fair Grounds in December of 2017. Since then she has notched 3 seconds and most recently back to back wins. The latest was going a mile at Evangeline Downs. The 4 year old filly is owned and was bred by John Duvieilh & Keith Hernandez and is trained by  Sam B. David, Jr.

On the closing night card at Evangeline Downs last year first time starter EXIGENT  won a MSW  by a comfortable 5 1/2 lengths. Today he went off the favorite, stalked the early pace sprinting 5 furlongs at Delta Downs and then inhaled the field for the win. He was claimed out of the race and we wish his new connections the best of racing luck with him,

 CUSTOM FOR CARLOS and  HALF OURS both had first time stakes winners on the LaBred Premier Night Card and STAR GUITAR had a new stakes placed filly.

MONTE MAN by CUSTOM FOR CARLOS moved through his allowance conditions winning his last 2 in a row at the Fair Grounds, Stepping up into stakes company in the LA Bred Premier Night Sprint Stakes on a rainy wet track at Delta Downs, he overcame a slightly slow break and traffic to finally get clear and win with energy. He is owned by Ivery Sisters Racing, trained by Ron Faucheux and was bred by Val C. Murrell. He has earned over $226,000.

Earlier on the card, 3-year-old gelding, Ready Prospector, also by CUSTOM FOR CARLOS, ran second in the La Bred Premier Night Prince S to up his earnings over $115,000. He is a Virginia Lazenby homebred trained by Oscar Modica.

HALF OURS also had a first-time stakes winner as OURS TO RUN relished the slop and splashed to a win in the La Bred Premier Night Matron S by 3/4 of a length. She has earned over $140,000 for owner  Colonel Thoroughbreds LLC and trainer Larry Jones. She was also off a step slow but came wide on the turn for the win. 

STAR GUITAR'S Shamrock Star edged clear to run third in the La Bred Premier Night Matron S  to add her first black type. She is trained by  W. Bret Calhoun and owned by Carl R. Moore Management LLC.

FRENZY, a 4-year-old filly by CUSTOM FOR CARLOS graduated going 6 1/2 furlongs for owner/breeder/trainer combination of  Bill Langford and Roland Bruno. She won by over 6 lengths. STAR ROCKET a 4-year-old colt by STAR GUITAR also graduated on the same card going a mile and he won by 3/4 of a length. He is a homebred for Israel Flores Horses LLC and is trained by Jose Grimaldo.

Newly turned 4-year-old filly TENSAS THOUGHT was 2nd in her first start and laid waste to the field in her second - winning by 6 and never headed. She was racing 6 furlongs on the dirt at Prairie Meadows. Running back in allowance company at the Faur Grounds, she again wired the field to make it 2 in a row She had a change of ownership and is now back in Louisiana and  owned by Kevin R. Kuta and is trained Wayne M. Catalano. The filly was bred in LA  by Curt Leake (LA). Keep an eye out for this one, She likes to WIN!

CHARLZEE BABY went off the favorite racing 6 furlongs at the Fair Ground. The bettors were right as she stalked and then clear for the win to graduate by 3/4 of a length. The 3 year old filly is trained by Sam B. David, Jr. for owner/breedersEarl Hernandez, John Duvieilh & Keith Hernandez.
